Good to see my team, Middlesex, making a good start to the county cricket season.

 

What cricket teams do other readers of this board follow??

 

And does anyone know who Hertfordshire have got in the cup? Could be a good piss-up if anyone's up for it!!

Yep, Middlesex for me as well mate!

 

It's about time they brought in promotion/relegation in Cricket and formed a Division 2 ... 4up 4 down, put a bit of pressure on the non-achievers... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

No a proper one Div 1 Senior Counties about 20 teams, Division 2 same again 20 consisting of Scotland and the Minor Counties. No county will want to drop down to the 2nd. Division!

I believe Hertfordshire have played in the park before. I'm definately up for one of their matches if anyone else is, Zealster. Could be a major piss up and, you never know, a bit of trouble.

I'm trying to find out who they've got - will post it on here as soon as I do. If they're at home, it'll probably be at Radlett, I would imagine.

 

I'd be up for it, and I would imagine the likes of EFM's L, Pete and Thornsy would be too!!

Seems Herts are already out of the 2002/03 competition - lost to Bedfordshire last August.

 

Nevertheless, we've been drawn to play Ireland at home on Thursday 28 August. The match is at Bishops Stortford!!

Herts have played at the Park - most memorable was apparently early/mid eighties against Somerset (Botham, Richards et al) - Botham got out cheaply and lost it about the quality of the pitch.

 

I am quite happy supporting Surrey (and not just a glory hunter)

Not actually a massive cricket fan - I think my flatmate supports Worc, I may just go for Somerset as it's a nice place and you get real cloudy cider there!
