And before anyone else says it, Chapterhouse and Slowdive were the canine's partciulars as well!

Indeed. "Just For A Day" by Slowdive is a cracking album. I used to own "Whirlpool" too - don't know what happened to that. "Pearl" by Chapterhouse is a superb song!!

Didn't Gem Archer (guitarist in Oasis) used to be in Heavy Stereo?

Indeed he did. And Andy Bell from Ride is now their Bassist.

He was also in Hurricane #1 as well wasn't he. You obvioulsy bought the single then Zeal if you had both DLBIA and Underneath the sky on that tape of yours. I could never really get into Northern Uproar, there was something about them that I just found a bit...'fake'!

Wasn't 'Cum on Feel the Noize' on the DLBIA single as well as the excellent Masterplan?

I have every Oasis single, Chubbhead, except "Live Forever" which was heartlessly nicked from me. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

 

I hate it when people say they were into bands before anyone else, but I'm going to do it anyway!! - I bought "Supersonic" in the week it was first released, and have been a massive Oasis fan ever since!!

"The Masterplan" was on the Wonderwall single, YELLOW, along with "The Swamp Song" and "Round Are Way".

Zeal I also have every Oasis single, plus more and Live Forever has two of my favourite B-sides on- Cloudburst and Noel doing an acoustic version of 'Up in the Sky'. He's so sexy when he sings!!! Was there a live version of 'Bring it on Down' also on the Live Forever single.

Yes, I think so.

 

The early Oasis singles were superb value for money. None of this ripping you off with remixes or filler crap. Each one had sheer quality on it.

The second Northen Uproar album (when everyone got fed up with them) is actually a fantastic album. The singles "anyway you look" and "a girl i once knew" were in the Top 5 best singles of 1997 by a mile!

I have to admit I've not got every Oasis single. I have every single one from Be Here Now era onwards but before that there's a few missing.

I will get round to completing my collection.

 

Chubbo, seeing as you have every single, did you bother buying The Masterplan B sides collection when it came out a few years ago?

 

Also do you have the import single for 'Don't Go Away' that wasn't released in this country?

Yes I have both of those and the import version of 'Some might say' which has the demo to the said single on it plus Noely G doing a superb cover of 'Hide Your Love Away'. I've also got the Masterplan on vinyl which was only available to fan club members and even then it was a limited edition piece. I am a dedicated fan!
