Harefield United....

Recommended Posts

Harefieldwhite - It's common knowledge that Harefield United are not huge scorers and tend to take their foot off the gas when three, four or five goals to the good, unlike Chalfont St Peter for example when they beat Kentish Town 10-1 in December. My prediction for Saturday would therefore be 5-0, I'll be surprised if it's any more than that.

Rhodes just been informed chalfont v hanwell is on 2nd may. if this is true it makes a mockery of the league. words fail me on how this can be allowed to happen.I feel sorry for them not getting to wembley, but hey [****!!****] happens . We need a level playing field to get the right result and if chalfont do win the league it would have been done correctly, and good luck to them.

OR LETS JUST ALL ROLL OVER AND GIVE THE TITLE TO CHALFONT!!!!

If it was two middle of the table teams with the game having little effect on any relegation or promotion then I couldn't see a problem, but it looks as though it will go to the last game of the season....and that day should be the same for everyone. It just has to be.

A brilliant effort by both Chalfont and Biggleswade to get back so close to Harefield, but having that last game a week after everyone else has finished just ain't right.

If they have to extend the season why not play on the Tuesday after...not give them a week to rest, train and prepare.

Or maybe it will be over by then. Just win those last three games Hares, including walloping Kentish Town, and it could be done. "She's breakin' up captain, she canna take no more" hyperactive

BuckRogers - Lets put this into perspective. Chalfont St Peter are currently a huge thirteen points behind Harefield United with five games in hand, that equates to fifteen points if they win all of them which they are very unlikely to do as they are out on their feet following their FA Vase exploits, a bit like a boxer in the 15th round of a World title fight. I feel that you are being very unsympathetic and should be more worried about Biggleswade Town pipping Harefield at the post who also have a far better goal difference than Chalfont.

YOURE MISSING THE POINT RHODES.Yes I would be gutted if harefield lost out but as you said biggleswade will be affected as well.So is it alright whoever was in the same position to have the goalposts moved to give 1 team an advantage. I think not.

As for chalfont having alot of games to play ,if they do win them all( and im sure they will think it possible) and on the last game know exactly how many goals they might have to score or if a point is enough, The calculations can go on ,but for harefield and biggleswade no such luxury. In my book thats an unfair advantage.

Not big scorers, how many goals have they scored this season... the most in the league, put 13 past your team HBFC, five past your other team KTFC to date with Saturdays game to come.
Rhodes your are a clown !!!

Thefan - You're missing my point, how many times have Harefield United scored more than five goals in a league game this season.

It's interesting that all the Harefield United supporters have come out of the woodwork now like they did in 2006/2007 when they ran Edgware Town close, where have you been all season and what happened to Browndog.

Lol, I am fully aware of how to get to Preston Park, I normally go to either Ruislip or Northwood stations and pick up the 331 from there, it's a scenic ride.

Bosman08 - Your guess is as good as mine, perhaps Nellie could clarify for us. What a contrast to the formidable line up just over a year ago with your Scott's, Donoghue's, Rivera's, Cole's, McMullen's, Quattromini's, Nazary's, Fofana's, Doyle's, Dawson's and Essiaghi's, I only recognised two or three names from the line up above.

And Rak only coming off the bench?? Yes no wonder that team is in trouble I think that teamsheet is evidence that is only the previous coaches at Kentish Town that the players believed in.

I thought they were out of trouble but Holmer have closed the gap a little and they just have the small matter of Harefield on Saturday.

To be fair I think Rak was sold a pup by the Manager and didn't know what he was letting himself in for, otherwise he wouldn't have touched the job with a barge pole and just concentrated on the brilliant job he is doing with Haringey Borough Under 18's.

Bosman08 - You seem very well informed as that's exactly right, to let one UEFA 'A' qualified Coach slip through your fingers is bad enough but two is inexcuseable, had he kept things the way they were at the end of last season and not interferred then it would have been a totally different story, afterall if it ain't broke don't fix it.
