For once, EFMTFTV, we are at variance.

 

I disagree wholly with your summary of a typical member of the Committee of the Supporters Club. Those people have worked their socks off this season and the total direct financial contribution to The Club is in excess of £13,000. In addition they have arranged transport for the team to away games at no cost to The Club, which represents a further saving of £5000 or so.

 

To that extent, other than William Verry Ltd, the supporters of SACFC are the biggest 'sponsors' of the club by a big margin. That is administered by a small Committee, and I believe that the last thing on their minds is to 'suck up' to Gibbo.

 

Don't forget that they are democratically elected and if you, or any other member of the Supporters Club want change, it can be achieved.

 

There has been mention on here of the Aldershot message board fiasco, the Stockport stewarding and the charity thing at Canvey. Did any of you who felt that some injustice had been suffered go to a member of t'Committee, outline your grievance and seek the Committee's support?

 

There are a lot of issues at Clarence Park that need to be addressed, and for me, I believe that it is absolutely essential that we have a strong Supporters Club, represented by a strong Committee, who should have our support.

 

Without wishing to close on a bitchy note, the AGM took place last night. Free and frank debate was encouraged. Those on here today who have criticised the Committee clearly had something better to do last night than attend and air any grievances in the appropriate place. That's a shame. you may have learned something.
