If EFM Decided to start it's own supporters club and we got more members who had paid to join and we also raised more money for the club wouldnt we then become like an official supporters club.

 

We obviously wouldnt hand the money over until we were given the title as the official supporters club/firm

 

I think those who are associated to the supporters club know, that what i have said could easily happen especially when Colin Toms becomes a big celeb.

 

Be afraid be very afraid.

When I was, ahem, younger, there was a Young Supporters Club of which I was a committee member. Could this not be resurrected for those who feel a bit disenfranchised (good word, that) from the main Supporters Club?

 

Quick, stick it on the agenda for tonight before AFF claims he thought of it first.

I think you will find that it was my idea to get the youngsters more involved with the club by joining EFM youth.

 

Why the hell would they want to get involved with the supporters club

 

At least we give them the time of day .When did anyone from the supporters club approach them and ask what they thought of the game the ground the supporters etc.

 

Seriously when i'm back next year things will change.

So what is your view of the role of the Supporters Club at The Park? What do you think that it does? What do you think that it should do?

 

Have you ever aired your views with any member of the Committee of The Supporters Club?

 

Have you ever made any positive, serious suggestion to any member of The Committee? Are you a member of the Supporters Club?

 

Courtesy prevents me mentioning Helen's age but I can say that it's under 22. James Brew is also on t'Committee and he is, well, let's say under 30.

Of course you can join. It's three quid for the season and you get discount on away travel and in the shop.

What we need from a supporters club is a bunch of people who tend to the need of the supporters, not a select few who's main purpose in life is to, slide up Gibbos greasy pole, for want of a better phrase!

 

After all where were the supporters club after the shocking evictions at Stockport, where were they sticking up for EFM after the slander in the local rag about meassages on Aldershot site, and the worst one where was the support when we were raising over £700 for the Canvey girl and Great Ormand Street hospital.

Let's face facts it's just a bunch of people sucking up and trying to stay onside!

It's incidents like Stockport fiasco and the Aldershot lies that have made me doubt that joining a 'supporters club' is 'worthwhile', to be honest. They were not interested at all in helping us out.

 

I appreciate that they raise a lot of money for the club which is fantastic, but I'm not sure they always look out for the fans of SACFC, as these two cases have proved.

I think you are being a little harsh EFMTFTV. I am on the comittee and I try to stuck up for you lot, expecially at Stockport ans helped you raise money at the Canvey game (as others I know!).
