good man knapmeister, I think it's still a valid way of looking at things when one side has played eight games and some thirteen, much better than the "if we win our games in hand " hopeful statement.

Thank you for your kind words, it does help if it puts your team on the top shelf!

 

I think there is a long way to go in this season, but I believe that the current top 4 are going to be the main contenders. An impresive start by Mole Valley, we played them away midweek, in a cup match, with a depleted squad, and lost 2-1 in injury time. We also beat Hanworth 2-0 at home on Bank Holiday Monday, but lost 5-2 at Staines a few weeks ago. C'est la vie, c'est la guerre!

 

As I say, a long way to go and a lot of points up for grabs.

dorking have hanworth tonight in div 1 cup, depends who plays for each side but that should be a marker, followed by Sheerwater and MVscr, 3 wins and even old misery guts me will start to think Dorking might be challenging come Easter.

 

as a spurs fan I know damn well you have to get points off the top four if you ever want to get amongst them.

You have a point about Dorking, The do need to put together a really good run to get back into the swing of things. Sheerwater seem to be too inconsistant, but that can go for a number of clubs. I'm not sure if the various cups can be a help or a hinderance in pushing for promotion. We're were originally in 5 cups, still in 2, with 1 to play. I know our Gaffer really wants a crack at the title this year.

 

I follow Tranmere Rovers so I know how you feel when the wheels start coming off!

Looks like the cup game Dorking/Hanworth was a bit of a bun fight last night! Hopefully this was just a one off. What is the ref's report going to say and what action, if any, are the CCL going to do?

i was hoping someone would come on and say I was blowing it out of proportion, and that it was usual handbags.

 

from what Ive heard its not that unusual for Villa, and sadly this Dorking side has lost its discipline too many times this year.

 

I expect Dorking FC to take some action, whilst I expect to see players react if their team mate gets punched or headbutted what happened last night was unacceptable at a club that wants to encourage families and kids football especially in the week its running a soccer school with fair play and respect on the agenda.
