Staines Game

Recommended Posts

Very tough game indeed the staines strikers are deadly and as

a team staines are very strong. They took the con south leaders

to the very wire in the fa cup for my money the strongest team

in the ryman.

More importantly what does everyone think the formation/selection will be as were missing some key players to

injury/suspension.

MASSIVE game ill go for a o.o but hopefully will nick it and

were due a clean sheet.Att 446

Is Ali G in the squad, and are they bringing the Staines Massive??? innit!

Tough game tomorrow, lets hope we have a possitive start and with the weather looking like its gonna be cr4p, we should load and get behind the boys early doors. I will take a point from the game and hope to see 350+ in the ground.

Staines have got a very strong squad. Was very impressed with their goalkeeper when Staines were on Sky against Stockport in the Cup last season. Not sure if he is still there.

Think they've got Leroy Griffiths who is a quality striker.

I reckon 1-1 and a crowd just above 350.

Staines are the best team i've seen this season.

I was going to predict them to win, then i studied the table. Compare the goal difference of both teams...

Hmmm, i'll sit on the fence for this one. 1-1

It'll probably turn out to be a cracker of a game with loads of goals! shocked

Cracking game and considering the conditions boths teams performed outstanding with not a 1/2% between them

That said "we was robbed" by a stupid decision reference the free kick

The team must now accept that give the effort required and they can match any of the potential play-off sides.

The referee clearly did not see what happened for the free kick. It took him ages to decide and he had players in front of him blocking his view. All that he saw was two players on the floor and assumed that it must be a free kick to the attacking team (Staines). The assistant referee - who had the clearest view of the incident out of anybody in the ground - didn't even think of putting his flag up. Shocking -.-

Cracking game even if the elements werent condusive to good

football.I couldnt beleive some of the refs decisions or how

staines managed to score 2 goals.Thought we looked really tight

at the back with patten looking immense as usual.Antoine was a

real handfull and i thought corbell done well when given a rare

chance.Theres no-one to fear in this league although dover are

on a great run.

I would say a draw was about the right result but it was gutting to concede a late equaliser after what was a very debatable free kick was given.

We had the better of the first half and they dominated much of the second half although they only really tested Mel in the last twenty minutes after we scored.

I think our penalty was certainly very harsh whilst their one was probably about right although their forward did go down far too easily under Chris Moore's challenge.

Nobody had a bad game. Thought Antoine was outstanding as was Leon, Ben Patten and Tarks. Steve Corbell did well when he came on and provided a great cross for the 2nd goal.

Not unhappy with a point. I hope we continue our good form with victory over Ramsgate on Saturday.

I thought both penalties were rather soft to be honest.

The freekick which led to the equaliser was a joke and spoiled an otherwise exciting game.

Thought everyone played well, although I felt we should've been leading at half-time. Great to see Dave Lee getting really stuck into tackles in the middle, which I felt had been his downfall of late.

Some great running, tackling and a quality cross for our second goal by Corbell.

The Leons were their typical immense selves.
