Was at Stag Meadow for the Bedfont Green game. Two fairly evenly matched sides. Banstead took the lead but were pegged back a couple of minutes later. Bedfont then won a penalty when the visiting keeper spilled the ball and brought the striker down trying to get it back. Spot kick duly converted and Bedfont Green went in 2-1 up.

Second half was just as even with BG extending their lead on the hour. With 15 to go the visitors pulled it back to 3-2 and pressed hard for the equaliser. Inevitably they got caught on the break with home number 11 beating a couple of players before curling a shot in that took a wicked deflection past the keeper.

Entertaining game played out in front of a "crowd" of around 20. Having been to see Tokyngton Manor play last week at Bedfont Green's 'home' I really can't see why they feel the need to pay rent to Windsor & Eton when their ground is perfectly fine for the CCL, and would certainly cope with their attendances.

Surrey Premier Cup

Camberley Reserves 2 Frimley Green 0

Have to say Camberley totally outplayed FG for most of the game, they created numerous quite easy chances but had to rely on a soft penalty for the win.

Yeah Camberley D1cked on us, but it was not a complete first team from Frimley. 6 regular first teamers and the rest including the subs made up of reserve team players who did not really do themselves any justice.

Well done to Cambs and good luck in the next round.

FAO KPNut, tell Tom McGarry to stop telegraphing where he is going to put his penalties. He may have scored it, but I should have saved it.

he has a little niggle and so not to risk him long term, we decided to stick a cripple in goal. It was a gamble, but playing 2nd bottom last saturday it shouldn't have mattered who was in goal. The cup last night, as much as it great to have a cup run, it is not as important as trying to get promotion and I probably would have p;layed even if he was fit. Of the 6 goals I have conceeded (bummer) I am only dissapointed with 1 which is not bad considering the amount of time I have not played and trained properly.

He will be fit for Saturday.

I assume you are talking about this season Kroons, as I have seen him miss one before when I was warming the bench for Cambs.

He has great confidence to take them, but it was a poor penalty and I should have done much better. It went under my body.
