Moving Forward

well....thats the end of that......very close to the ultimate achievement but it wasn't to be........we'll settle for our promotion and very enjoyable it is to......

 

but we need to move on.......what we achieved this season will soon be forgotten if we fail to build on that success....our happy band of follows will be less than enthusiastic next November on a rainy night away somewhere if we are at the bottom of the Premier League Table....

 

we have to plan now for next season and look at all aspects of the clubs on and off the field procedures......in short we have to take our club to another level and that process needs to start now.....

 

we have already started this of course.....as you are all aware.....we have a new sponsor for next season ....an announcement will be made shortly in that respect.......

 

we need to bring Premier League experience into our management ranks and Mick Marsden has already begun that task......

 

we need to reassess our youth policies and strengthen those policies......our youth teams are the future of the club....

 

we will have to make new signings......the players required have be identified by Mick and his team and in due course we shall be moving to make those signings.....

 

we also have to establish which HFC players will be surplus to our requirements next year.....a difficult task but nonetheless one that needs to be addressed quickly.....football moves on at a considerable pace and sadly there will always be players going out as new ones come in......

 

we need to continue with our stadium improvements....that particular discipline never stops...there is always something to do.......

 

we need to look at ways of improving the commercial aspects within the club to ensure that our income streams continue to increase and that our club is profitable.....

 

we need to establish a supporters association......that is an important aspect in the future of the club and at the outset we need a supporters association chairman.....(any interested parties?)

 

we have had a free hand this year with shareholders support....next year that support will be strictly budgeted and those budgets adhered to.....

 

the aim next year is to build our club into an established Premier League outfit with a view to entry into the new conference regionalised divisions......at the same time we will be aspiring to success on the pitch and will hopefully be challenging for honours......

 

our fans have been superb this year and we only have to look at the 'record' home gates achieved by the clubs that we have visited in the second half of the season to understand how well we have done in that area....we need to keep that up next year and achieve the attendance targets......500 for home games and 100 for away games......difficult but we can do it.....

 

all in all a very busy close season coming up for everyone involved at the club.......

 

there has been much speculation of recent weeks about who is doing what and who is going where......it is fair to say that there are few clubs as open with their plans as HFC.....hopefully that 'open house' policy will continue to keep our fans in touch with events both on and off the pitch throughout the summer and also minimise the rumours......

 

if there is anything going on at HFC...and there will be plenty going on...... it will be announced in good time....

 

there is of course the little matter of the Thameside Trophy to conclude and hopefully we are making some progress in that respect......but....seems as though Maldon don't want to play us just yet.....wonder why.....!

Cheers for the update. Strange old situation with the Thameside Trophy, can’t see that being resolved this season. Any pre-season friendlies arranged yet, heard a rumour that Millwall are coming!! Hope their charming fans leave our ground in one piece!! I’d being willing to help out with a supporters association if one is started, give me a shout if you need any help.

A supporters club is being set up. Chill people, everything is under control - we have been in contact with the club (primarily Andy Kania) and are in the process of setting a few things up (website, programme, etc) in draft before sitting down with the club and finalising things.

 

Will be done over the break so ready for you all at the beginning of next season.

 

If people to have ideas than please post them on here and one of us (most likely me) will pick them up.
