Thats very worrying, especially as another we have not heard from lately is jeremy J.
One anticipated this being an ideal time for him to voice his concerns.Respect to him for maybe on this occasion at least ,not trying to maximise his own position .
In fact, in view of Hornets post, i do hope that Jeremy has not been presented with a set of Concrete Wellingtons and is keeping the fish company at the bottom of the river thames !

who said... -oh never mind .

All I know re JJ was he was spoken too by the club re his posts on here but when speaking to him after the game he seemed like he understood what the club was saying to him, so respect for that. Maybe why he hasn't joined in this time?

If you're not interested in supporting the club, then so be it, stay away. Although it might reduce the attendance, it might also reduce the number of moaners who seem to constantly slate the team for 90 minutes. And, as such, with perhaps a more positive attitude at the ground (and, dare I say it, more singers? No thought I was asking for too much), we might have some better results.

With the negativity coming from the terraces, I wouldn't be surprised if the players were terrified to do anything wrong when they play at home! Roll on Saturday when I'm sure we'll be in true voice.

As a new supporter, this season, I am intrigued and suprised by the various views and opinions being expressed about this and other matters discussed since joining this forum.Since this season commenced there appears to have been several forms of critism and complaint from a large proportion of the 'fans' regarding the problems of seasons past and present.I am respectful of the fact that you have all earned the right, via money and time and dedication to the club,to voice your anxst and frustrations to do with all aspects of the running/management of Margate FC.I though cannot understand how somebody could be content with their logic and 'stay away', based on principal, only to see the club/team fadeing away before their very eyes and take glee from the fact that they were contributory to the demise and 'that'll teach em to mess with me and my mates' mentality.Throughout football at all levels there are boardroom members, management and support staff that hundreds of thousands of FOOTBALL SUPPORTERS cannot abide. There are very few owners that do not upset, either periodically or consistently, supporters somewhere in the stands of their stadiums. But therein is my point...........the SUPPORTERS are hacked off but they are in the stands somewhere.I am not being judgemental over this I am simply saying that the demise of this or any club due to the reasons I have seen, read and researched on this and other forums would be both shameful and pityful for the local community, the club itself, the supporters, past, present and future, and the players that have contributed to the wonderful memories that so many of you still enjoy and recount so often. If the club fails then those of you who have helped in even some small way will be able to hold your heads high while some who do not should look to floor and sculk away in shame. If Margate FC's current problems are based on 'principal' and 'stupidity' and self inflicted then be the better person and help to overcome the problems created and allow benefit and prosperity to flourish. By taking the same 'principalled' view whilst in opposition you are creating the larger and more damageing negative. When a child, whether rich or poor, gifted or not, makes a mistake what do we do? and when the child does the same thing again, despite having been told the right way,do we throw the child out and ostricise them? what a strange world that would be.Please forgive my intrusion of your debate but I care and would love to see this club survive.

I think it must have been my sarcasm re. "an announcement will be made shortly" in regards to the building of the stadium. Shortly obviously is a hell of a long time. I also voiced some suspicions about when property developers get involved in football clubs. Perhaps it touched a nerve. The trouble with this forum is some people champion freedom of speech while others want to stay blinkered. All I wanted was the promised new stadium to watch my team in and for the success we know that the club is more than capable of. I don't have any axe to grind where the club is concerned-I'm just an ordinary bloke wanting to watch my local club. Perhaps we got a bit spoilt with all the success in The Conference and am impatient to see it once again.

Quote from Hornet's original post:

I do find it sad that some of those who have supported MFC over the years are apparently withdrawing their support at games, at least that is how I understand this thread.

But to take up the point made above, and bearing in mind that I don't know what was said, is it really that bad that one person has spoken another face to face about what has been put on here? At least perhaps the person doing the speaking did it in that way, and had just as strong views as the other party.

Sorry if I have misunderstood anyone's post but that is how it seems to me.

Perhaps they should be given credit for that.

Cookie, there was a piece in one of the Non League Papers from yesterday regarding the court case etc. It's on the Ryman Prem page - Obvious you may say - but there again i thought publishing match results and highlights of interesting games would be there too... whistle
