This happened at the weekend

 

A defending player had to leave the field for treatment and was allowed to rejoin the match from a position near the corner flag of the goal he was defending. After he had re-entered the field two strikers from the attacking side ran beyond the remaining defenders in the active area of play clear through on goal, only for the linesman to flag for offside despite the returning defender clearly playing both onside.

 

 

Hmmmmm.........doah
