I hope you can bring that kind of support down to Fortress Meadow on October 14th... Looking forward to the derby... C'mon the Royalists!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd be quite happy if our average at home was up nudging 300 or over if we continue doing as well as we are.

The number following the side away from home will continue to be as good, and higher, the better we do, as Chris says. I remember that away day at Hemel. That was a great day and a great season as we were going for the title before falling away late on. Not sure about 250 but certainly 200+ travelled that day, though I do remember the crowd being given as 300 which was suspicious to say the least!

I'd like to think there will be some good (and well-attended) local derbies in this league this season, if ourselves, Windsor, Burnham and Beaconsfield are at the right end of the table.

windsor vs slough will surely be 350+ i would imagine assuming windsor would have 100-150 there at least. shame its a tuesday match in a way

as for away games i will be honest i havent been too many or not enough in the last year but our current team is too good to miss and im planning on being at nearly every match from now till the end of the season

Ah yes, Hemel away. A 2-2 draw after Adrian Blake dropped a cross in the dying moments for them to equalise. Hemel had one player dismissed for deliberately kicking the ball into the Slough end and Fergus Moore sparked a near final whistle riot for being a complete kn*b.

The best away support I can remember was at Wycombe back in 1993 when we were the closest we've ever been to the football league. Hard to say how many rebels were inside, anything between 500-1000, and another 50-100 locked out watching from the hill behind the terrace. An absolutely awesome night, electric atmosphere.

Another good crowd was at Reading in the fa cup replay around '91. Historically we've always had one of the best away followings, even when we were in the conference.

I reckon Slough's 119,070 population is bigger than (for instance)Watford,79,729 Rotherham,248,176 Blackburn,137,471 Exeter,111,078 Colchester,155,794 Barnsley218,062 and Oldham.217,393 So potentially we could get bigger crowds than them.
