Bin Lids - MY TURN !

Big J R

Recommended Posts

I was so proud to go and watch middle grand-daughter play away for Brockham Girls (14's and under) at Frimley this morning.

Her first game for the best part of a season, though she has been keeping in training with The Chix.

Sharna scored a hat-trick of goals in the first 20 minutes of play to help the Brockham girls trounce Camberley Youth Girls 2-6.

(Sorry Kroons - It had to be said !!!)

You know full well Kroony-boy !

At the risk of the "blah-blah-blah-blah" excuse being levelled, we played your lot again, at home in the pouring rain. (Yes - I DID stand there and get soaked). Your team was almost totally different from the previous week, and were very good. We were without 2 players and our goalie had to leave and go home ill half way through. ("blah-blah")

You were three up with a few minutes to go, when we got a stunning consolation goal. SHARNA - YEAH ! Four goals past your keeper in two games. What a grand-daughter !

To be fair, your manager was a lovely guy and I felt really sorry for him when he told me he probably had another youth game to cover for Camberley in the afternoon, but was hoping it would be called off because he was already soaking wet.

That's dedication for you. ("blah-blah-blah-blah")

Oh, Mole Valley Chix didn't play at Meadowbank yesterday. Meadow Sports couldn't raise a team. I believe they're out your way somewhere as well, Kroons !!

the man in question is our Chairman who is responsible for 3 teams all of whom play on sunday afternoons smile

SO just referring to your previous weeks message about your win. Well we were missing all our best players smile

Meadow sports are in Woking.

Woking ? Other side of the North Downs from me, so it's YOUR territory.

Actually, I know Meadow Sports well. They've produced some very good sides over the years. Seems they may have had a problem developing the girls into the Ladies League.

The burgers and bacon sarnies in their club-house are legendary, as I'm SURE you know !
