Andover v Slough Town

First half absolutely battered them. Rids hit the crossbar with what would have been goal of the season and Romeo headed against the post. We had a whole set of other chances as well. However two quick goals saw us comfortable until they scored with their first effort of the game.

Second half was very much a different story as we had two players off injured (I presume) Durrant and Brown and several players playing in unfamiliar positions and down to the bare bones, but held on with them not creating too much apart from a chance for the big centre back during injury-time despite them having a lot of the play.

I know a lot of people are disappointed we have no match next week, but it will be a chance to get everyone 100% fit and get the injured players back hopefully.

Another fantastic result, and I thought we deserved it over the 90 minutes.

We should have been out of sight at half time, Yashwa Romeo will be disappointed not to have bagged a hat-trick. We looked good going forwards and were creating some very good openings.

In the second half it looked as if we would pay for those missed chances as Andover had much the better of it. We looked tired towards the end but the defence didn't lose concentration and were able to clear when the ball came into the box. In the end we were hanging on but maybe we're now getting a bit of luck that we previously weren't as well.

It's good to be able to look forward to games these days!

A great result, first half was excellent, just a shame we couldn't score a couple more, second half was backs to the wall and a battling display.

Hard to pick a MOTM but I think that Romeo had a great game, especially in the first half, Platt was pretty good too.

Excellent to record 3 wins on the spin in the league, let's hope we can keep up this good form for a while yet!

Well done on your three points today - despite all our possession 2nd half we barely forced a save out of your keeper. I might be wrong but in the last couple of minutes did your bench tell the ref he was wrong to award a throw to you and he over-turned his decision? If so great sportsmanship - thanks.

Great travelling support from your lot - hurry up and get back to the level you belong!!!!

Great result from the team today considering we have a few players missing.

When Luke Evans, Eamonn Maconigly are available and Byron Bubb is fully fit I think they are certainties to be in the starting eleven. If so, who will the starting eleven be?

Matthew Platt is our top goal scorer, Danny Jordan is pure class and IMO cannot be dropped and Romeo cannot be dropped on his current form. So, who will make up the remaining 5 starters? I think Sweets has some tough decisions to make.

My team would be:

Jackson

Durrant Evans Fenton

Maconigley Brown Pritchard Bubb

Jordan

Platt Romeo

Excellent performance first half when we could have been three or four up. GD Lion is right though Andover had a lot of the ball in the second half but didn't force Jacko into too many saves although one save he did make stretching upwards was brilliant.

It is so refreshing to be following the Rebels these days with hope and optimism of getting a decent result.

Great stuff let's keep it going in a fortnight.

The game should have been won by half time. We could have been 5-1 up and it wouldn't have flattered us. The front 3 were causing havoc . Shame the volley from Rids hit the woodowork rather than the net. Goal of the season without question had it gone in. For those who missed it think Paulo Di Canio bicyle volley against Wimbledon but Rids was outside the box dead in front of goal as the ball was cleared from a corner.

In the second half they really stepped it up and Jacko made one breathtaking save high to his left that would have levelled it up. A nice day out in the Hampshire sunshine and three deserved points.
