Sounds as though the Reserves were on a hiding to nothing here!

They didn't "concede the nil", got three points but nobody liked it.

The resreves seem to be fragmented at the moment, using trialists and first team players whilst some of those from last year can only get into a Gen Sport side (battling win last Sunday). I guess it`s needs must. There seemed to something promising with the reserves last season, MFC need something for the fringe players.

From afar and the 'outside',it only looks like a short term issue;as the 'regular fixtures and reserve season gets fully into gear.

Was'nt saturday simply because first team did not have a game-and to be fair-one of reasons for reserves is to give fringe first teamers a chance-and more importantly-because of the important U18 game on the sunday which many regular reserve players also played in.

To be fair, the reserve side seems to be doing its job-already this season Kenny Pratt has 'emerged' and possibly Chris Ronbinson.

I may be wrong-but from a distance-it looks ok to me.
