Confirmed: DJ staying

Good news, but what I think is more pleasing to read is that the players are enjoying playing at Slough and have a belief that something good is possible this season. Both Jordan and Romeo have come out and said that in the Observer web reports this week.

I'm all for optimism, but lets not get too carried away with this play-off talk. Yes the signs are good and we are in good form, but we only just avoided relegation by the skin of our teeth last season.

Lets get to 40 points first! We had a bit of talk about play-off's just before the North Leigh and Cinderford games and look what happened there!!

Excellent news! Have been out of the loop a bit without regular internet access in Kingston/Surbiton, so reading this has made me very happy, looking forward to returning to a bit of normality tomorrow by going to Andover!

DJ is a great player and although he hasnt been scoring much he has excellent control and is very unselfish (which is probably why his goal tally is a bit low!), a valuable player indeed.

I agree though let's not get too carried away, we may be winning at the moment but I think it is going to have to be a 'take each result as it comes' season. The signs are positive though and at this rate I'm hoping we can get a top half finish.

Absolutely! But wouldn't it be nice to get there with 10+ games to spare? If we do that then we can look at possible play offs

8 points from 6 games would mathmatically equate to 40 points after 30 games, & 42 games would give 56 points.

However previous performance does not mean this will happen.
