Stansted ineligible player

Am I right in thinking Stansted played an ineligible player against Burnham in the 3-1 league cup victory. If so what is happening about this?

 

I understand Stansted were kicked out the FA Vase for doing something similar.

We were discussing this very point last night KH. He certainly didn't play against Enfield in their league match I understand but am not sure what of Stansted's other two league cup and two league games he did play in.

We have to wait for the dealing of his transgression to filter down the system. i.e FA first, then Essex FA before it gets to league level I suppose.

Ive been told the Essex FA are meeting on 1st October to sort it out.

Apparently it is true tha tan ineligible player was fielded in said cup match. It appears the decision will be either to dock the points from Stansted and award to Burnham R or just dock Stansted the points. My personal opinion is the points should be awarded or the game replayed.

We had a similar situation when the Essex FA gave us clearance on a player in a league match against Br ntwood which we won 5-1 and then informed us that he was definitely banned so we had to replay although Town were happy to let the score stand. Fortunately we won the second time too but only by 2-1.
