Wembley has a penalty, penalty is despatched into the bottom corner. one of the Wembley players was deemed to be in the area as the kick was taken (encroaching i believe) so the Wembley players waited for the re-take only to see the f**king clueless ref signalling a free kick for Badshot Lea we went on to lose 4-3 after extra time EDGWARE GOT A REPLAY FOR THIS NOT LONG AGO I THINK WE DESERVE ONE.

 

A team-mate of the player taking the kick enters the penalty area or moves in front of or within 9.15 m (10 yds) of the penalty mark:

 

the referee allows the kick to proceed.

if the ball enters the goal, the kick is retaken.

if the ball does not enter the goal, the referee stops play and restarts the match with an indirect free kick to the defending team.

if the ball rebounds from the goalkeeper, the crossbar or the goalpost and is touched by this player, the referee stops play and restarts the match with an indirect free kick to the defending team.

Not sure if this is old news, but this is now being replayed. There is a bit in today's NLP:

 

Wembley say justice has been done after they were reinstated in the EL Records Premier Challenge Cup after a successful appeal to the FA over a penalty blunder.......The CCL dismissed Wembley's appeal, but it was then upheld by the FA who declared the cup-tie null and void because of the error in law. The restaged match will be played on Dec 16th at Cherrywood Road.

 

Wembley chairman Brian Gumm said "The League should have dealt with it in the proper manner. It should never have gone to the FA. It was a waste of everyones time."
