On the brink of 'history'. Clean Sheets

Well done the defence in the last two games-nil conceded.

I am embarrassed by the fact that i have had the following 'anorak moment'; but i can hardly contain my excitement that i do not believe we have ever achieved 3 consecutive league game clean sheets whilst in the Ryman league; and furthermore it is minimally season 2002/3 when this was last achieved and possibly earlier !!

Another clean sheet against Hastings please.

It makes such a massive difference if you do not concede

Yes, he had a solid game - a couple of heart in your mouth moments with what appeared to be misjudgements of the bounce etc, but on a wet surface and not being used to our 'sea breeze' these are understandable - although maybe I'm just a bit touchy considering the usual standard of keeping this season!!

It would be a pleasure to pay out to the prediction league.

One/two swallows don't make a summer though-but listening to the interviews-at least BA has got them working on defensive duties unlike last seasons kamikaze football.

(pity the club does not actively promote similar official 'sponsorship opportunities' but you give up suggesting it)

How did Robinson play as a central defender ? Looks to have done well to have come into a side and not concede ?

You are probably right-but then you wonder why he was not a sub for the first team on saturday.

Anyway-what does it matter-he did well-pleased for him and the club .

Is Wheatley the next one ?

What we really want of course is one of these players to progress to a league club and margate to get a nice healthy transfer fee.

Oh and I forgot to say Michael, Dan Young confirmed last night he signed a one year contract, maybe he will be the one a league club might come in for if he continues his good form of present.

No not this season needs to start thinking about his game a bit more. Maybe next season as a bench sitter and the following one in the team if he can learn how to read the game better.

Now if you want one to watch MM I suggest Sam Cliff. I predict he will be on the bench by the end of this season if he continues to progress at the rate he is. (no pressure Samwink)

Yep I agree Jim, even think I mentioned it on the Reserve thread. Was pleased to see him OK in bar at end of game after he was helped off the pitch near end of game. He told me his achilles heel just went dead for a while after the tackle.

With us debating like this-is it a positive sign that the clubs youth strategy is starting to work.

Give it another 12 months and it really may pay dividends all round.

Just got to survive in the Ryman and survive as a club first !!
