I cannot abide with sitting down at a game. It's not for me. There are those that do and I'm not knocking them (better get that in) but I prefer to stand...

Let me just say, I wasn't "digging" Upda out, I just wanted some clarification why he thought that Non League football was a "rip off" in comparison to his example of Arsenal.

Agree with Barry on the Coffee issue. Our Tea Hut has a well deserved reputation for a great steak roll, and the Burgers are better than a lot elsewhere. But if all you want is a hot drink you come away feeling well shafted. Either the quality needs to improve or, if that's not possible, the price needs to drop by about half.

 

And this isn't critiscism; it's customer feed-back smile

Re customer feedback.

I have stopped buying hot drinks at NL for the reasons stated above.

The profit from 4 cups of crap coffee would buy a decent brand and sell more.

Had a nice cup of Kenco at Hornchurch during half time.

 

This is me sticking to my apple juice.

Being hot is a good start. A coffee taste would be good, and maybe milk, sugar & a stirrer rather than having to use that stuff left out on that table (never looks very appealing).

 

I guess I'd be pushing my luck asking for one of those little buiscuits. smile

The few times I've bought coffee from the tea bar at New Lodge I can't say anything else than it was very warm and tasted good.

 

My soon 9 year old daughter, Victoria, still talks about the bacon roll I bought to her last year...

Was it Bognor where they sold the bread pudding? It was yummy.

To be fair about our fayre I think the food is generally pretty good and the prices for that are on a par with most other grounds in the League, lets not forget costs have gone up a bit (?!) lately. The beverages are a bit pricey though and I think the fact that you have to source milk and remove bag under your own steam probably adds to that feeling.
