I dont pretend to understand what is going on behind the scenes or what the possible implications are. However it would seem that one possible scenario could be that if we dont pay the 50 grand then we would be put into administration and suffer a points deduction which would mean almost certain relegation.I see that KP is looking at several avenues to avoid this but if all else fails I hope that a last resort would be to see if 1000 fans would consider it worth 50 quid each to avoid relegation and the stigma of administration.(He should of course offer shares in return)

How would that work though? If 1000 fans bought those shares, would they then have some control in the club?
And wouldnt that just create more chaos?
New investors are obviously needed but i don't think many will want to invest unless the present lot hand over control?

I would have thought it was a fundamental thing to keep the Revenue happy, as they have the power to turn us off. The Inland Revenue never goes away, surely that is obvious to everyone. YOU HAVE TO PAY THEM, THERE IS NO OPT OUT CLAUSE.

So someone has blundered big time in not paying them. Is that incompetence or bad luck/timing? Hard to get to the truth. Unfortunately we have been led so often up the garden path that I would find it hard to believe anything now.

So, if my humble resources were sought in a bail-out situation, I would want to exact a big reward for that level of generosity, plus cast-iron guarantees that my money went where I intended it to go, and even then I would be sceptical.

If someone said to me 'Can you give me some dosh to pay my mortgage off, because I have spent mine and now I'm going to lose the roof over my head' I might point out that we all have to live within our means or disater may follow.

This sort of thing really exasperates me.

Disagree Tony, if you believe in what you write on here it should not matter who reads it.

If you have something to say then say it. Freedom of speech must be allowed always

Interesting thread this on which I will not be making any comments having been made to feel completely unwelcome in the clubhouse at the Hornchurch game. Whilst introducing myself to Gate and Urchins fans alike I was "escorted" into the corperate bit to be introduced to Mr.Piper and others as "the coward who hides behind a computer screen". Now as I was making myself known to all and sundry I was hardly hiding was I? Mr.Piper said he was always interested in people who slagged him off and I was aware that I was having my card marked so to speak. I left after that having had my afternoon completely spoilt and have not commented on here or supported the Gate since. So much for freedom of speech. So if you don't want to be made to feel uncomfortable and have an unpleasant experience watch what you say on here!

Not really sure whats going on, so I don't want to walk in to the middle of something here, but on the face of what you've said, a couple of things strike me:

1. We've all had a pop at the way the club has been shambolically run at one point or another (whether we use this forum or not to do it).

2. If you were introduced as "the coward who hides behind the computer screen", and 'escorted' to see KP, by the same person, this appears to be OTT and smacks of old schoolmasterly behaviour - I would think that this person is ashamed of their behaviour once they realise the strength of your feeling, but maybe misjudged the situation.

3. Say what you want, whenever you want, surely. If it isn't abusive or threatening (also include the tiresome 'You're team / player / ground is cack, mine is brill' comments), then you should only be judged by the response your comments receive.

4. Please try and support your TEAM if you would like to, in whatever way you feel appropriate. After all, we all support the team, not necessarily the board.

5. If you still feel you will not post again, I say the goal was good on Saturday feedback bolt
