AFC Hornchurch v Billericay

Time to be positive and get behind the team.

Buckfield,

Marron, Duncan, Heffer, Dumas

Hunter, Shave, Wareham,

Ferguson, Flack, Bricknell

Subs: Henry, Chatting, West, Cole, Worster

I'm hoping we'll see the return of 1 or 2 of our back four and I've listed the more likely (IMO). I think West will play a part as will Henry and Chatting. I would also like to say that Neil Marron is growing in his "cover" role as right back and that Lynford Duncan is looking more settled at centre back. Over the next couple of weeks our "regular" back four will start to become a more of a solid foundation from which we will build from and gain more confiedence to push up the league.

So lets all of us, lose those "blues", get behind the team and help raise their game and start to enjoy our football.

Can't speculate on the back four without knowing who's available. But I'd start with Sol and Leon in centre mid-field, with Shavesy on the bench.

Fergie & Wareham in the wide roles with BWG on the bench. Billy & Joe up front with JackWest on the bench.

See ya tomorrow

It was a good game spoiled somewhat by the referee, who constantly blew his whistle. We had six players booked and Hornchurch three I think, none of which seemed that bad a foul to me. Joe had a great chance to win it near the end but put his shot just wide of the post. The result was probably fair but we played well and could have won it. It was good to have Tim Cole back and I was impressed with Lynvall Duncan. As well as scoring a good goal, Billy had a great game. We still await the best from Steve Ferguson in particular,a shot on target.

I thought the whole team played well, we were definitely the better team in my eyes and I thought we deserved all three points.

The return of Cole was most welcome and it took a good strike to get past our defence today. I agree with Gazz that it was Leon's best game this season, my MoTM was Bricknell who was quality.

It's a shame we could'nt get the three points today but we should be positive about our performance.

9 yellows in a game where it's difficult to recall a bad tackle tells you all you need to know about the man in black.

If we play like that on Tuesday I think we can win.

Come on you blues!!!

A very good performance from all of the players, for all of the game so thats good.

I think that we definately deserved to win this game, but it wasnt to be. Both goals were well taken, another goal for bricknell. Its also good to have 3 players back from injury, the defence looked more solid today.

The ref was a disgrace! just when you think that you have seen the worst in ryman refs, another one comes in. Most decisions the ref made today were wrong/unfair for both sides.

Another most enjoyable visit to the Bridge that even the man in black couldn't quite ruin.

Probably would have taken a point if offered pre-match, but didn't take too long to realise that Hx hadn't much to offer; we deserved all three.

Still, it was a pleasant sunny afternoons outing and we can come away with a bit more confidence & belief.

Looking forward to Sutton on Tuesday now.

Can;t disagree with anything posted above.

I met with urchin mentalist, He epitomizes what non league is about, and his young lady is exceptional.

I wish all the true urchins the best of luck for the rest of the season, (I hope they don't finish above us though grin) It was nice to see Hodgie and Millie again, thank you for the beer Max, and its always good to see and chat with Terry

My trip to the Bridge was as welcoming and warm as always, Thanks one and all.

Billericay:

Great support from our lot today, and a fine performance from our team, lets take that work rate and confidence into the Tuesdays game. Well Done Lads.
