Margate Football Club

Recommended Posts

I don't think this is bad as it sounds. I know there was a big meeting today re this which is probably why the club put out the statement before a shareholder got hold of it like last time.

I will stake my reputation (not thats its worth much) that things will get sorted and hopefully we will hear better news next week.

Getting my head round this now I think the following could have happened.

a) The club has broken the news now as it could be in the Gazzette tomorrow.

B) The situation is under controll so before it gets out of hand discuss it.

What I cannot get my head round though is that the Revenue has waited over a year to reissue the winding up order again this is very unlike the faceless moneygrabbers way of doing things.

But as I said earlier I know nothing so can only speculate. That is someting I do for a living (speculating) but only when I am in full possesion of the facts.

Its not happening again as it was never resolved from the origanal debt. You have got to be mad to put money into a football club in the current economical climate. Everybody wants a piece of you and your money. Supporters want the best players the players want as much money as possible to play and along with everything else it cost you fortunes.

Yes you certainly have to be mad. Should only invest money that you can afford to lose but, would we not all want to be in the position to lose money on a dream.

So what I was told at Southwood at the Horsham game by someone was only a rumour then Ian.All your players ARE getting paid.
Fair enough!.I hadn't mentioned this before now but as you are so cocky that everythings hunky dory over there I thought I would now mention it.
By the way Ian can you tell us how much our dream team management is being paid? I doubt its anywhere near what you think it is.
Getting back to the T.O.T.S. Don't be so sure that you aren't that far behind us.

This is what the club said last time

The Directors can now confirm that the petition to wind-up Margate Football Club has been dismissed.

This action taken by the court resulted from the Clubs Directors lodging a six figure sum with our Supervisor, Langley & Partners. This payment included the settlement of all small creditors included in the CVA, the Directors would like to thank all these creditors for their cooperation and support.

Up the Gate!
