Welling Vacancy

At least some feedback is being fed through. Obviously im not in the inner circle of the supporters association but as an outsider all i knew was that the money went to sign Adie Pennock. Obv, i assumed this to be the full 7.5k not 4k as Dave has now stipulated. So i assume the other 3.5k is left over till next season or has that gone on wages ?? Im not moaning just would like to have some sort of trail as to where the money is going....If it was Lionel Balls era, the funds would have gone on a new Jag for him.

Is Adrian leaving? (Matts thread above)

Adrian is spending some time to consider what to do. It is more a question of whether he thinks he can physically carry on, as I understand that he would like to play, but not at the expense of his health.

As ever, as soon as anything is settled, then details will be on the news page.

........it would appear they want to see something tangible for their money.

OK something tangible, small but tangible <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Use the "sponsors" on the website.

Buy your CDs, Books, DVDs and games from Amazon by using the link on the website. If 100 of us spent just £10 a month this way the club would receive £600 per year which equates to 1% of the operating loss made last season.

Use Jeeves to do your searches, the club gets paid for every search done from NOTN, at the moment we get less than 10 a day on average which is minimal.

Go to the Virtual High Street and doing your shopping there, again we get commission on every purchase made this way.

All of these methods put money in the club without hurting your pocket so let's get those numbers up.

Dave

I'm no accountant but are you saying the club made an Operating loss of £60,000 last season?

In which case, who's subsidising the Club - the programme notes always comment on the ambition of the Club while emphasising the need not to put the club at risk by accumalting large debts - remember the early 80's!

Forgive my ignorance if I've got this totally wrong but I was a little horrified to read your statement.

I agree with a lot of what you have said Matt, but I also think that had we not got the £4000, someone else would have to have gone to pay Ade's wages, with our money we managed to hang onto everyone else and if that everyone was Wilkins, well after him given Laim the vital touch, need I say More.

Like you I would also like to see Lee Boylan running around the pitch, bit I honestly think he is far above anything we could afford. ( Unless I win the Lottery)

The trust money will at least help us to buy shares in the Club, and have money available should any of the current major shareholders decide to leave, other money raised, can then be useed in conjunctionwith the club for major projects, i.e. new loo's, proper segregation barriers, etc etc. Plus of course our major concern players and wages.

As I have said before if everyone of the crowd just gave the price of a pint or a packet of cigarettes, we could raise some serious money, the major amount of money (7800) was raised by just over 100 people, plus of course the bucket collection made at the ground.

So Wobbly you are also correct that very few people actually gave, but those that did were very generous.

We need more people like you to get behind the trust, I truely believe this is the way forward.

We did have a deficit of £60,000 for last season. There is a Press release on the way to me during the day, and when I receive it I will copy to the Forum.

But until then, there is nothing that I can add (sorry)
