It seems Cirencester have a new manager-Brian Hughes who was their successful manager a couple of years ago who took them up to the Premier Gas league-lets hope a new broom does not inspire them this early in his reign.Unlike sweetman he played pro football so may have good contacts for players.

My worry is that Luke is out and Cirencester's main striker is an ex pro, who would leave mr.daly in his wake speed wise, then I guess even I would lol !

Saw Alsop play at Cleeve few weeks back. Very good in air, good on ground when balls to his feet, but next to no speed. Also good with his arms and elbows in my opinion, ie typical good old fashioned centre forward. Think he would have made mincemeat out of Luke as well.

Yes they have an ex pro in Julian Alsop is a 6'4 striker who is quite slow by all accounts, but good in the air. It's probably someone Daly would relish playing against

If he turns up with only one leg,he'd still be to fast for Daly.
Have you not noticed that our recent improvement did not include Daly-he's over the hill-face it and move on.

Not sure about that. The Luke Evans I've seen over the last few games looks to be a pretty tough cookie.

Agree that Luke can handle himself, but Alsop has the expereince. Cleeve have a player very similar in age, style, and experience to Luke. Handled himself ok, but came off very second best!

Rather pointless really as Evans is suspended.
According to the manager we have no recognized centre backs available this week, so will be interesting to see who will play against their 6ft 4in striker-could be a cricket score with our short players.
I would have used training this week to try Gumbs there-at least he is not vertically challeged.

It appears that it is mainly the non-registered posters who post negative, stirring comments, which lowers the standard of this forum but the moderators continue to fail to address this loop hole, when nearly all other sites require posters to register! - I will not hold my breath for any action to be taken.

I would say Dean Harper is a recognised centre back. Since he's been moved into the middle he's been playing out of his skin.

Good to see that this forum will welcome totally unfounded comments from anons that are posted purly to distablise players and management, and split supports views before games - i.e. the post from an anon today about 4 players with seven day approaches!

However when I post one negative comment about a player, against a whole hoste of positive comments about the team and management progress, I get classed as a hypocrite!

As this is the case, it shows this forum is therefore losing its credability.

I will therefore no longer post under Staines Rebel but post anon so that I will have the fredom to say what ever I like with no reprecussions!
