Brighouse Town 4 Glasshoughton 0. HT 2-0 Att. 88. A bit of a drop from last week's 341. Town go 8th but have played more games than most other clubs.

 

The bad news is that I missed it: as we were at home last week I assumed that this week we were away. We weren't. Doh!

 

Away to Barton OB on Tuesday night (that's Barton on Humber!)

Last Tuesday: Barton OB 2 Brighouse Town 1.

Yesterday: Hemsworth MW 1 Brighouse Town 0.

 

Not a good week.

 

Several clubs in this league include MW in their name: this means Miner's Welfare and obviously stems from the origin of the clubs. One such club, Askern MW, changed its name to Askern Villa this season, the cheeky young scamps.

Never in the borough...closest I got was Highbury (Arsenal v Sunderland FA Cup 1996) and Wembley this year (Ebbsfleet v Torquay)...flat out getting an erection let alone a resurrection!
