Very poor performance to be honest, scores level at 87 minutes and we could have had few complaints had Clacton taken us to a replay. Late goals from Flack (pen), BWG and Billy gave us the win, but for long spells today we were pretty ropey. I know we have a ridiculous number of injuries at the moment, but there were senior players out there who didn't give 100% at that, to me, in unacceptable.

Burbridge off after 2 mins with suspected broken wrist. Dumas (Hamstring) and McSweeney (ankle) both injured as well as Cole, Heffer, Dormer, Game etc. Clarey wouldn't have played ideally as not fully fit.

well lads I thought the score flattered you a little. At 1-1 with four minutes to go I thought we had a replay in the bag until the ref decided otherwise!!

 

Us Clacton fans had a great day out though and thanks to your fans for wishing us the best at the end of the game.

Well a win is a win is a win.

 

On a positive note I thought there were decent performances from Marron, Duncan and another couple of goals for Billy.

 

Having taken an early lead we just idled around for the rest of the half and when they equalised we were unable to raise our game until the end.

 

I pretty much agree with what Simon said, we are lacking leadership and drive from those who we need it from most. I hope the management can address these problems soon, hopefully Cole and Dormer coming back soon will help.

As the fans found their way to Billericay, cup fever reached a new level. FCC started very brightly and had the first sortie on our opposition

The result definately has no reflection on our performance. I think today the problem was in midfield. Our defence we had wareham out of position and with our usual 1st team defence were all injured we done quite well. Up front billy got another 2 goals. I dont usually mention names.. but our captain needs to start doing his job and start leading on the pitch because i hardly heard anything from him today. I also thought we lacked some passing skills in midfield.

 

Moaning out the way but like JL said, we won, we got the 3k, billy added another 2 goals, tim cole hopefully back for hornchurch, i know hes playing in the reserves game against chelmo on wed.
