I went to see Aldershot Vs Purfleet yesterday just to see how good they are. I was not impressed at all.One of the shots goals was an own goal by Purfleet, John Nutter came on as sub, and had a good ten minutes some nice passes and good defending. I think they are in for a big shock in the conference unless they get some new players.

Their passing was not good and their overall game was poor, its little wonder we won the Ryman last time,as their team is at the moment I hope we get them first game of the season, we could do with a big win to start us off.

But they'll be riding high on adrenaline like we were early on, and may make some signings close season, so it might be difficult to judge them.

 

I'm sure anyone who watched us at home to Boreham Wood last April would have made us certs for relegation!!

A workmate and Purfleet supporter went to the Canvey v Aldersh*t game, back in April. He didn't rate either teams chances of survival in the Conference. Poor passing and ball control were his main complaints.

So bloody What? you have seen a title decider, where teams are bound to be edgy and make silly mistakes under pressure, and the last game of the season where we had nothing to play for except not to get our players injured for our cup final at St Mary's. Our performances over the last couple of weeks before Hendon and purfleet (when it didnt matter) have been superb and anyway if we do any worse than you have this year we deserve to go back down.
