Disappointed to lose due to a dodgy penalty, as first half we were able to take the game to Farborough and it was fairly even.

Second half Farnborough were the stronger side and we sat far to far back and this limited the front players to make meaningful attacks - agree with the comments about lack of subs at the end, Attrell and Gumbs would have given the attack a different shape and Roy could have got onto the long high balls which were put forward all game with little effect.

Would have liked to had a replay as we could have used the home advantage and possibly got a result.

Far better performance than last year, especially considering where Boro are now, but the reality is we are now out of the cup and need to make the league results count.

Was impressed with the work done on the ground and looks like they are setting targets to get even higher up the pyramid.

As for the chavs they still have to learn what is acceptable and I understand it was a Farnborough fan who initiated the removal of the 3 - I will find out from the steward on Monday his reasons. As was stated by one of our fans from the south coast, that was how he was a few years ago! The thing is they made noise and supported their team and who can argue with that?

Came away feeling gutted - ok we didn't do much in the second half, but in the bar afterwards not one Farnboro fan said it was a penalty. We deserved a draw, and again in the bar, one bloke said we were the best team he's seen this season.

In the last 15 minutes we should have thrown Gumbs, Attrell and the rest of the kitchen sink on to try and score and be interesting to know why Derek didn't.

As for their supporters. I think its great that a load of youngsters are getting behind their local team, and to be fair we did go and stand next to them. They didn't goad us, apart from when the 3 lads were thrown out, and the reason they were thrown out was for abusing their own supporters who told them to cut out the swearing! I hate stewards at non league usually, but was very impressed with the blokes dealing with it - again had a good chat with one of their stewards after the game who certainly had a very colourful football history!

Overall tho', very positive, we are on the up and now need to make sure we get maximum points in the next few games.

I thought Luke Evans was immense today and we are going to miss him big time for the next 3 games.

Steve Daly is the obvious replacement for him but he seemed strangely inactive today. Not sure if he was part of the pre match warm up but he certainly did not appear during the half-time interval with the other subs. I'd like to know why this was?

I thought the players did themselves proud today, to lose against a team leading the division above, and only by a dodgy penalty.

Even though it's gutting, that we didn't get the deserved draw and replay, it's a big positive and confidence builder that they only beat us one nil.

Also, there was the foul by their goalkeeper, when he climbed all over Platt in the box, that wasn't given by the ref.

Anyway, well done Rebels, and let's keep it going in the league.

Totally agree, the players did themselves proud today....not sure the management team can say likewise?

Sorry Gary, my mistake, lets try again.

Even with Daly injured, there's now enough cover at centre back. At Taunton they also played without Evans.

As echoed by the others thought the team was very unlucky now to get a replay but I thought the quality of their midfield allowed them to dominate possession more. Some passes were played short too in the first half which didn't really help.

I too would have liked to have seen Gumbs comes on in the 2nd half as DJ was struggling to win anything in the air, at the same time I think the ball needs to be played to his feet more as his touch and technique is far better.

Lets now look to progress in the league. Cirencester could prove to be a tough game with players looking to impress after their manager Adi Viveash today resigned to take up a coaching role at Chelsea's Academy.

I was also gutted to not see us get a replay yesterday, our defence looked very solid yesterday and the whole team did us proud. It was never a penalty from where we were standing, I honestly do now know what the ref saw.

Unfortunately it seemed our midfield went missing yesterday especially in the second half, which meant that we couldn't get the service to the front 3 and put more pressure on the defence.

I also wondered why we didn't make the 2 spare subs yesterday, we had 5 or 6 players on the bench who could've come on to try and relieve a bit of the pressure and push for a goal.

We were unlucky not to score near the beginning, there was an obvious class difference between the sides at times, but we tried so hard to match them, hopefully we can continue the improvement and get something from Cirencester, the boys did us proud!

Come on the Rebels!

Whose this cover at centre back then ? Lets hope he's got a bit of height-yes you can be small at centre back ( Alf D'Arcy )but you have to be very good every where else-don't think I have seen one of those at the club yet-so come on who do you mean ?
As for Cirencester surely we must beat them, even Abingdon got a draw there. So the manager has left, rest assured that can only be a good think for Cirencester and a very bad thing for Chelsea, my contacts tell me he was hopeless and the most vile swearing manager he'd ever witnest-both to his players and the away supporters.

HR, do you have a link for this. I found the main site but no mention of photos or multimedia.
