To be fair Paul, you were one of the biggest advocates of local footballers, stating that these boys were more than capable of holding their own in the Ryman League.

The main problem to me,was appointing BA in late may, whereas had Trott been sacked just two weeks earlier and BA appointed end of April, maybe we could have retained at least a couple of players, plus BA would have had the whole summer to build the squad.

Disastrous today, but if we can just keep around 17th place by Christmas, i still reckon we will just about keep our Ryman status.

Keep the faith.

I was all for bringing in young lads and think that about 5-6 of the lads are good enough but they need experience around them. I blame the board and knowone else. I hope that this defeat will be a wake up call to them that more money must be found. If not then quite simply they should quit and allow someone else have a go. I'd love to see wallace strole back and save us but he won't come back all the time a certain individual remains.

I think we would probably have done better if we had kept Trotty and built on what he had achieved, which, given the constraints he had to work under, and with the benefit of hindsight, was quite a lot more than we are achieving st the moment.

No offence to Barry, by the way, who seems a reasonable sort of guy, although he inherited a poisoned chalice.

Today is not about anyone else but the players. They have been fast improving of late & its been plain to see. Today they have ignored instructions i.m.o. & gone out there & not learnt from their past mistakes. Yes, BA must take some blame but ultimately its those players wearing our shirt out there TODAY that have not only let us down but let themselves down.

However this may well be just the result that we needed to improve our position in the league. It may not but it might.

I agree with Pagey in what he says . I personally think the manager set up is great for us maybe with Terry being abit more involved though but not tredding on BA`s feet two much but i can`t understand the board employing them all if they are not going to dig in themselves and help out . The Lads play there hearts out for us the management work hard trying to find solutions to the things that go wrong but if there is no money or help from those above then there will be no answer to any of it . If the board had got rid of Trotty a month earlier it could have all been a differant ball game now , im sure they knew what they were going to do well before Trotty went and could or maybe have had BA in place for the last 4-5 weeks of last season anyway this is the way things are so we have to like it or lump it im affraid .Up the Gate .

The players up till today have improved. They were on the verge of getting positive results. Up till today, despite most of us concerning ourselves with the inexperience of both the manager & the players, most of us were seeing signs of good things to come. The players are the ones out there today that have conceded early again & conceded more thereafter.

I understand your points re:management & board but that's another story. Its about today's performance(whatever the reports say.)The players didn't do the business & the manager hasn't been able to change things & turn it round.

Today was about those players out there NOT showing up & continuing with their improvement. That's my point!

A very poor result today.

The most worrying thing is that if you read and believe the Worthing forum; they also have invested in alot of young and inexperienced players;so today it was boys against boys;and it seems our boys were alot poorer.

Keep the faith.

We keep going on about money but look at the sponsorship. No advert in the programme, no match sponsors, no player sponsorship. Perhaps some of the directors could get off their arses and actually go out and talk to people and promote the club.

I have stated for two seasons now that we NEEEEED a commercial manager, be it full or part time. We have got managers coming out of our backsides but nobody trying to raise what we are crying out for, bloody funding!!!
