I was recently chatting to an old mate who has now retired from the Met as a DCI. I asked him if any claims of racism in the Met were true, and he replied unboubtably when he left. Not because of the officers colour or race, but because they would be only too keen to use the 'race-card' first, possibly to evade disciplinary charges !

Mr Mushroom - And there you have it, the chickens have come home to roost and Dizaei was dramatically suspended from duty today pending investigations on him allegedly offering advice on how to defeat an extremely serious prosecution case concerning a road traffic accident where somebody was killed, how must the victims family be feeling about that.

How do members feel today at the joyous news that bent copper Ali Dezaei has been put away for four years. During Dezaei's 24 year Police career, 12 of them with the Met, he has managed to wriggle and squirm his way out of one damning allegation after another including a number highlighted in this thread along with his crooked

'Solicitor' chum Shahrokh Mireskandari.

Not exactly related to 'crook' Shahrokh Mireskandari however I see that his good friend Ali Dizaei, the disgraced and hated former Police Chief, has incredibly got away with paying just £750 towards the £64,000 prosecution costs of his corruption trial by pleading poverty despite owning three luxury homes in trendy Acton, Chiswick and Henley-on-Thames. After considering Dizaei's case, incompetent Southwark Crown Court ordered that he pay £750 plus VAT, despite his dismissal from the Metropolitan Police he will still be able to claim at least a third of his gold plated Police pension in the future.

The decision has unsurprisingly sent shock waves through Scotland Yard with insiders describing the decision as 'unbelievable', Police Officials were left with no alternative but to overturn the decision to dismiss Dizaei after the Appeal Court quashed his conviction of perverting the course of justice by falsely claiming in written statements that he was a victim of an unprovoked assault by Mr Waad Al-Baghdadi, a web designer who had done some work for him.

I would have given my right arm to be a fly on the wall at the prison when that slop bucket was emptied over his head, I bet the prisoner who did it was given the freedom of the place afterwards by both lags and wardens.
