Not true for me Gussy. Always want to see England play in competitive matches. I would accept highlights as the Setanta thing is no different from the introduction of Sky. In these times our national sport should be available on free to air terrestrial channels.

Setanta is no different to Sky it's actually a channel you subscribe to via sky, Virgin media etc

I agree. But there should be highlights available on terrestrial tv for people who cannot afford it. It is our national game and should be available to the wider audience not a select few.

i think bbc could have had the game live or highlights, its all up for bidding.

setanta offered highlights to bbc they didnt take it.

 

well done to setanta for showing highlights free.

 

before sky and bsb etc you would have been lucky to have seen 2 or 3 games live a season.

 

write to bbc and tell them to spend more money on football but dont blame the satellite channels.

TSF read the fecking thread. I actually blamed the FA. There are people who cannot afford either or both Sky and Setanta. Highlights at least should be available and that is down to the FA and football in general being less greedy.

itv and setanta have the rights now, highlights were available free, anyone with only terrestrial tv now will be watching a blank screen soon. digital is coming.

Krooner , tsf on ignore and wont buy setanta? youve been missing some of the most incisive and informative sports commentary since the Gillette year book said treat your boots like your friend and dubbin them twice a week.
