Prediction league - IMPORTANT!

Hi!

 

Back from London and Billericay now, and going through the predictions. Have some work to do before the updated table will be online...

 

But I have discovered two very important things:

 

1) Please write your name/handle EVERY TIME your send a prediction! It makes it A LOT easier for me to sort the predictions! You don't have to write your e-mail-adress each time, but use your name/handle!

 

2) There's an error which I'm currently working to fix. As I'm quite new to this, I have to read a lot of php-code to find out what's wrong, but I will fix it as soon as possible!

 

The error means that even if you choose different goalscorers in your prediction, I still only get one of them. I have no means to find out what other goalscorers you have choosen. The error has been there since I got the send-form-function to work.

 

As a workaround, you can put your goalscorers in the comments field in the form, as that works! Or you can choose to only predict one goalscorer, but you can loose some points then...

 

I have no way to find out what other goalscorers you have choosed in the predictions so far, but I promise I will get it to work!

 

I will also work to see if I can get the form to show a preview of your predictions before you send them, as The Town Crier asked for a while ago.

 

And at last, regarding the cup feature: I never got time to make the draws for the prediction cup last week, as I promised, but will do these today when I'm finished with the league table, so the first round of the prediction cup will go ahead on saturday (the Clacton-game)

There will be played one "home" and one "away" match. The winner (which goes through to the second round), is the predictor with most points after those two matches.

 

For this first round the following two matches will count:

 

13.09: Billericay Town - FC Clacton (FA-Cup Qualifier)

18.10: Billericay Town - ??? (FA Trophy Qualifier)

 

You'll submit your predictions as usual, and the predictions counts as normal in the league too.
