Whilst I agree that the full back had a good game, I do feel you are being a little unfair to wareham, he did provide the two crosses from which both goals were scored.

 

Also the two wide men might not have been particularly effective recently, but how can they do their job properly when the long ball is continually pumped up field to the forwards, often passing them by.

I think wareham is agood player, but i dont think he has played as good as he can play yet. With harrow, in the 2nd half he didnt get into the game as much as he could however last night the defender that was with him all night was good and he dealt with every ball that wareham had so he wasnt really able to play at his best.

 

Your right about the wingers mayflower long balls do cause a problem, but thats where the midfield should deal with it. Balls are being passed from the midfield into defence with little passing space so sometimes it is down to the midfield for all these long balls.

What odds would you have got that Shave would have scored as many as BWG and Flack combined at this stage of the season? In a way that highlights part of the problem for us at the moment, our defence isn't keeping clean sheets and our attackers aren't contributing goals.

 

Personally I think it may be time for a bit of a re-think, particularly away from home, I would leave out one of Wareham, Fergie or BWG and bring in Henry or Semanshia into midfield. I think this would help us with ball retention which is the root of most of our problems...
