Tonbridge Angels v Billericay

Follwoing our draw against Harrow last Saturday, I would like to see us convert those chamces that we make, so my team for tonight would be as follows

 

Buckfield

Marron, Macca, Duncan, Dumas (injuries are the deciding factor with the back four)

Hunter, Henry, Wareham

Ferguson, Flack, Bricknell

 

Subs: BWG, Burbridge, Chatting, West, Shave.

 

My reasoning for putting BWG on the bench is that in the Carshalton, Hendon and to a lesser degree Harrow, he looked tired come the full 90 minutes. I would hope that if we play as well as we did in the first half against Harrow, with Flack joining Bricknell and Fergie up front, we'll have converted some chances and BWG can join in sometime during the second half. I also expect Burbridge to get some play today, altho, I do like what West can do up front. Paul Shave has played well so far this season but I would like to see Henry's pace and "tiger" like tackling in midfield. That does leave us short on height tho.

 

We have a good record away to Tonbridge altho I suspect that they are going to be a very different prospect this evening. They've had some goodish results to date and I would settle for a draw.

 

One thing else I hope for is a strong referee that will stamp on the "play acting" which does seem to be a part of many a teams armoury this season. Football is a physical game and we're no more physical than most, so I think a referee who deals the game with a even hand would be nice...but hey, who am I kidding...I will eat my Australian Bush hat if that happened.
