Stadium - Heard it all before.. but..

I was told by Keith Piper himself on Saturday (he approached me not the other way round)-(I'm sure he knew I would spread the word) that heads of terms for the stadiums' progression will be signed on the 17th of September.

I did get a witness to this.

He also said something would be up on the website soon after that date about this.

I did ask him to put what he said to me up on the website but he said it wouldn't be happening (can't understand why not, but still!)

Take from this what you will & I'm sure some will be going "Oh no not again, boring boring etc" but we HAVE to believe this time that this will happen. Either that or continue to be frustrated.

What happens after the signing I don't know. Maybe someone can enlighten us all.

I hope this DOES turn out as he mentioned....this time.

We shall see!

I was in two minds as whether to mention this but I felt we all needed to know something seeing as though the club won't officially tell us.I wasn't instructed to keep this to myself.

He did seem sincere & mildly excited by it all too might I add.I certainly can't see a problem with mentioning it as I doubt doing so would jeopardise an already arranged time to put pen to paper.

I am more than hopeful that this will be forthcoming on this occasion, however with experience of past promises

I guarantee nothing, let that be said!

We await in anticipation Keith.

Heads of terms are not legally binding, but as KP says are a progression.

You would normally be ageeing heads of terms with someone who is taking on occupation in some form or another as opposed to a constructor.

However, most builds are not done speculatively and thus once you've got to Heads of terms, you proceed to a legal agreement, and only then get on with building.I should think here, the club want to know they have a tenant before paying for building (some) of the stadium )-and who can blame them unless you are a billionaire

Its progress, but a long way to go, and i suspect if all goes well, then maybe a legal agreement by Chritmas and build on some of the stadium commencing about late spring.

I may well have it enitely wrong, but thats my best guess from the above, and by this time next year, we may see some form of stand at the coffin end, ready for our rise up the leagues starting with promotion to conf south next season(just make sure we don't go down this season Barry )

Minor progress only, but frankly, the club have probably done well to make any progress at all in this economic climate.

Maybe the news will be alot more exciting than i see it anyway.

My comment (if it been hadn't noticed) was similar Alex. Patient? Haven't we all been more than patient over the past few years.
I really really hope something good comes our way real soon. Its way,way overdue as far as the ground is concerned. If it dosen't,as has been in the past,on more than several occasions,I'm not only going to be mightily embarrassed but be the most irate man in Margate. In fact I will be "fuming"! mad

Its TIME FOR SOME BLOODY ACTION!

Keith & MFC please deliver THIS time!

Properly been told to change their name to Ezekiel Utd and the new ground to Ezekiel Stadium and to sell posters and T shirts with Ezekiel pictures on it along with his picture on the team shirts plus a new line of hot food called Ezekiel burgers.

Once that is sorted out he may, just may, actually say something nice about the club and their supporters. Not vote in favour but just nice things about us
