Quote of the Month - August result

I know some of you enjoyed the QOTM threads when they used to appear on this forum so, by way of consolation, I shall keep you all posted with the monthly results. The August poll was as keenly contested as always and, in reverse order, the results were:

 

3rd place, with 13% of the vote:

"you often get scare mongering on another Forum and it turns out to be nothing but a storm in a tea cup or busy bodies having nothing better to do with their time than spread idle gossip"

 

2nd place, with 18% of the vote:

"I didn't see the game as I was turned away at the 'turnstile' by 'Sugar'"

 

The clear winner, with 27% of the vote:

"I'm the first to apologise if I unwittingly offend anyone with an off the cuff remark or over step the mark in any way."
