Colombia Reach Inner City World Cup Final (again)

Recommended Posts

The reason my post average has plummeted this weekend is that I have been watching Colombia reach the Inner City World Cup Final for the third year running and the fourth time in all, an extraordinary achievement masterminded by, wait for it, tactical genius Hector Varela. This year Colombia put Countries such as England, Japan, Cameroon and Somalia to the sword before falling at the final hurdle to a Poland side who clearly had a number of professional players from Lato's homeland, indeed I half expected to see Lato amongst the 150 or so Poles on the touchline.

Surely the title should be Poland win Inner city final.

POLSKA BIAWO CZERWONI!!!

If I had known this event was on I would have attended.

It has everything to do with the SSML, Hector was instrumental in getting Kentish Town promotion last season and Colombia had two Kentish Town players in their squad.
Actually Lato would have really enjoyed himself, the atmosphere in the Poland camp, particualarly today, was electric and Polish tv was present, they won every game they played over the weekend.

Was it a game or a massacre???

What is going on with Tok Manor there start promised more, I would hazard a guess that the Crawley right winger caused problems, a very good little player with bags of pace.

No I didn't go to Tokyngton Manor. I saw them v Biggleswade in the FA Cup and they were perhaps a little unlucky to lose but had problems defensively. I know people who have seen the last two home games and said it was embarassing how poor they were.

Lato - There's sure to be huge press coverage of this years tournament in the days to come but here's a taster from last years event, that's Kentish Town's Javier Rivera proudly lifting the trophy. Put the date in your diary for next year:
