Stroll in the park really for Bookham. Got a pen after a couple of minutes and 2 up shortly after and the game was over as a contest really. Hailsham had a short spell of pressure just after half time. Hailsham manager (or maybe he was the asst) got his marching orders after abusing the ref for not bringing the game to a halt for a head injury (Bookham scored straight after the challenge). Not sure why the no.3 was sent off, could have been lip as they were getting rattled by that point. The no.7 made johnno look like Peter Crouch - he looked about 12! One of their better players mind.

So SL's boys up next - i presume it will be another Sunday game as Chicks also due at home?

Good report TRS Well please with the performance and also not getting rattled when they were flying in with the challenges. Lost the keeper in the warm up with an injury, and left back was making his debut after a couple of games in the ressies, 2 early goals settled us down and although they had a spell just before halftime thought we had the better of them for the 90mins and always look the more dangerous along with 3 disallowed goals, poor dicipline cost them dear in the end and officials generally did well, always a couple of things your going to complain about but we've learnt when to stop and they did not. Some great finishes for goals 3, 4 and 5, great team performance, very pleased our 1st FA vase win !!!

 

No 3 sent off for foul and abusive to offical when the ref was booking their no 4 !!! then give lino a mouth full as he walks off, which he brought to the refs attention.....so much for the respect campaign

 

 

Good to meet you SL and look forward to the game in a couple of weeks mate nice try with the league pass

 

El Gaffs did not make the effort to come and see me BTK

Yeah he played well yesterday and his not been the 1st choice in that position as one was injured and one suspended who have played there in recent games so credit to him for his performance yesterday.

Looked like there was a bit of a Forum get-together at Meadowbank yesterday, I spotted El Gaffer, Rusty, John Crow and obviously Teffers, also heard TRS and SL were there too.

Sorry folks I did ask at the bar if BJR was about but I was too busy drinking the Ashai lager and watching the game through the window.
Very entertaining game though i will probably take both yours and Dorkings games in the next round.
