just found out that slough played arsenal and spurs the same season they played palace 90/91 , sloughs centenary ?

at the time those 3 club were among the elite in england . what are the chances of slough playing just one of them now ?

the attendances were shocking as well , 334 against spurs . spurs fielded nayim , van de heuwe and steve sedgely

Got the cuttings for the game in the 80's, no mention of the full palace team in the 80s but Bason , Smiley , Boyle , Gilbert , Hughes , Carter all played on the same page as the match report is an article about a certain Eric Young having to be sold by Slough to ease financial troubles , it was reported that Spurs , West Brom and Bournemouth had all made enquiries for him . Slough lost 19k in the last year and was looking for 10k for the ninja .

Palace signed Young in 1990 the same year the two clubs played each other again

the slough team was parsons, friend, russell, maskell, butler, hardwick, james,o sullivan, shields, white and akers

The Arsenal game was on the same weekend as the FA Cup Semi Final - the one where Gazza scored that free-kick.

It was therefore an Arsenal reserves team that was sent. I know Gus Caeser certainly played for them that day. I can't remember if he was involved or not but Ray Parlour was a name on the programme.
