To start with, this is not a criticism of the Margate programme it is packed with facts and very readable articles, and the producers work extremely hard on its content. On Saturday I looked through the programme and was surprised at the lack of advertising, if you took away the Ryman adverts that are presumably part of the overall sponsorship there is just one on the rear of a local Estate agents.

 

I bought a Ramsgate programme last night (sorry but I did) and compared, I counted 18 adverts of local Thanet based companies. I appreciate that we do not have a Commercial Manager but surely we are missing some much needed income here. I would be grateful of any other comments.

I had a good look at the programme since you pointed this out and you are right. The content itself is one of the best I have seen but just the one advert.

 

Other Non league clubs that I have watched have much more, even though the standard is lower and the attendance is lower

The content in saturdays programme was first class imo.

 

Particuarly like the current and former player profiles.

 

Also, the typeface seemed a bit clearer-although i think it could be clearer still if fewer font types were used.

Its obviously not Steve B's responsibility to sell the advertising-i wonder whose role that is within the club these days.

 

If there was advertising, you could probably add another 4 pages-but more importantly-get some revenue to the club

The problem with some programmes in the past has been too many adverts!!!
