Ebbsfleet II?

I went to Southwood last night, the first time for years and if you took away the Maidstone supporters and the Magate "spies", the gate would have been very low indeed. Doesnt matter how RB dresses things up Ramsgate have no fan base, and never will !!!

And by the way 10 men Maidstone in the second half we much the better team.

I cannot recall EVER having a home league gate of 430, which appears to be Rams biggest for some time.

With a core fanbasr of around 250, I wonder how any club can survive.

Perhaps Rabid Butler should spend a little more time drumming up support for his own team, rather than continue with his immature rantings on other forums.

Another decent result for the Gate last night, how did Maskell play?

Now Tom you know for doing that you will have to be punished and, it has decided as this your 1st offence you will be let off lightly.

So the punishment is to buy the same amount of 50/50 or meat raffle tickets as your admission cost you last night on your next visit to Hartsdown.wink

I went for a number of reasons, primarily as I like to watch non league footie. Also it was interesting to see a Maidstone side with Jay Saunders Pinnock, Roland Edge and Ian Selley. They looked a good side and I did smile when Maidstone scored in the last couple of minutes to win the game. I wil make up my cost of attending with the tickets you suggest.

Jay won many headers as we know he can but missed a very good opportunity to score & blasted wide. Pinns laid on the ball for the 1st goal but didn't really figure too much in the game apart from that. Got subbed late in the game for tactical reasons I think.

Was up early in the morning for work(3.am)therefore didn't fancy the travel to & from the away game v Harlow.Besides there's nothing wrong with eyeing up the opposition(& hoping for ....)you know the rest! l.o.l.

As Ian rightly said concerning my prediction of 2-1 to the Rams. It was pure reverse scychology on my part & it worked....... "Spot on".

Getting back to the point of Ebbsfleet II, bearing in mind today's events with West Ham and Newcastle managers (whatever the outcome of the latter might be) does anyone feel that a similar situation could arise with such a set up as Ebbsfleet?

I understand from NLP that the Akinde decision went to a vote but supposing that vote didn't go the way the manager/ment wanted it to go - would the manager/ment feel that their position was untenable?

Just a thought.

Good point.

Notwithstanding Drummmers good point at what could happen at even non league level; at premiership and championship level, it seems that managers are increasingly rendered impotent and their authority diluted.

Like the players themselves, that should see more and more quality managers plying their trade in the lower leagues;and i trust accompanied by customers increasingly abandonning interest in premiership and championship leagues in favour of grass roots football which is 'where its at'.

I think the situation here is slightly different guys. Daish has full authority 'at present' picking the team and naming who he wants to bring in or release.

The selling of Akinde was a no brainer - he was walking in May out of contract - we would have got a small fee set by arbitration.

The deal we got is very good - potentially up to

Quickly scanning through this, it seems Rob is a bit bitter because his side are not doing aswell as he hoped they would. So therefore he is doing his usual thing when things don't go his way and that is to TRY point out non-existant flaws in other teams.

Now trying to go back to the original topic i don't think i would like to see us being taken over by large number of people as it is a big risk and a risk that hasn't been proved to work or not at Ebbsfleet.
