Don't think he went on to Warrenfield, where I went to but I might be wrong. I think most of the good local players went to Warrenfield and mainly played for Coopers. Some of the names I remember were: John Fielding, Graham Togwell, Alan Coleman, Tony Smith, Peter Cannon.

Do you mean most of the good local players went to Warrenfield, end of story. Or in your era most went there.

I only know about my era.

Well i " lifted " that profile from the semi of '71 at The Valley programme , but my own memory still tells me it was Walton & H ? come on you older Rebels what do you think ?

Brett Smith: Winger we had on loan, quite pacy greedy played for us in the 90's.

and

GRAHAM Roberts (as in ex Spurs centre back)

unfortunately (post above) by the time i came to see Slough Tommy Langley was past his best and slowed up, but still had a fantastic first touch and shot.

Thanks to everyone so far. Information on positions on the older players (70's and 80's) along with profile information would be most appreciated.

We're over 250 people now and I am sure David will be pleased to know I have added Paul McKinnon this evening.

Britwell Boy you are quite right Terry Readon did play for WW against Middlesborough in the 70's and played Souness off the park at both Loakes Park and Ayresome Park, however I do remember that Middlesborough won the replay, I think it was by just the odd goal.

Thats right Flint and it was a goal in the last minute that won a 3rd. round replay for Boro in '75 . I am looking at a picture of WW in the Rothmans Annual and Terry as well as Keith Mead are in it , it was taken that same season as they celebrated winning the Isthmian League .

Re Peter Wesson Ex claycots then Warrenfield schools. Reprseented Slough schools then Watford youth may have played a few S.E. Counties games, joined Slough @ 18 yrs old then went to W&Eton then Burnham played there for years must be one of their longest serving players. Cricket-Farnham Royal WK & Batsman could also turn his if needed. Club captain coached youngsters until well into his forties. then joined Little Marlow C.C. Unfortunatly died a couple of years ago as a result of R.T.A. while riding his bicycle. (probably to keep fit knowing Pete.)Oh he was also a usefull golfer.

Used to watch Pete Wesson when he was at Burnham, was a great winger, and in my opinion could have played at a much higher level than the Hellenic Lge. He was one of mt first footballing heroes, as Burnham's ground was five minutes walk from where I lived in my early teens.
