Lost 2-0. Instead of moaning i am going to take the postives out of today

Jake Parsons did well on the wing ( until he went upfront and then got injured)

Erm....

Dan and Gegg don't have to do a programme for tuesday....

That's it. Worse than bracknell game. Sort it out lads!

It was horrendous. We didn't look like we were interested. I also don't know how we can improve. Players have yet to come back into the side but with the amount of yellow cards we are getting we are going to lose others.

As for Adam Wallace I do not see this as a signing that will make a big difference to the side.

Firstly, yes, losing this match was a massive blow for what the club had planned for this season both on and off the field.

Unfortunately, and these are not excuses as I believe we have a good enough squad to win a game like today no matter who plays, having 7 players unavailable is not the best preperation for an important match.

Chico Ramos - Wife went into labour Saturday night

Mark Cooper - Injured

Simon Goodrham - Injured

Ben Porter - Family Wedding

Martin Williams - Injured

Michael Chennels - Injured

Adam Wallace - Unavailable due to league rules on signings

Personally feel we should have done better and had a fantastic opportinuty to take control of the match in the opening couple of minutes for two reasons. We should have scored the penalty and the Aylesbury guy should have been taking a very early bath.

Again, not excuses just hard facts.

Now to say that Adam Wallace brings nothing to the team, I find that a bit hard to understand. He did very well before joining us before, ok he didn't have the best of seasons for us last time but which player did back then.

With Chennells injured and Seeds doing his best to find some form, as Chennells did at the back end of last season, another striker is just what we need right now.

Yes but Malc the key problem with the side is lack of creativity. Jake brought some of that to the game and i know Wallo and porter will aswell ( when they are fit!) We just don't look like we can win a game. Also i don't think that pen was a sending off either.

What annoys me the most is the tactics. Did Gumbs go off injured? Why put Jake Parsons upfront? Why keep him on when he was clearly unable to run yet still gave it 100%!? He looked like an extra from saving private ryan when Scotty took him off!

I'm going to sit on the fence with Wallo as he did score goals for us at a higher level in a poor side. I'm even willing to forgive him jumping ship to those muppets down the road and not trying to get us back in the leauge ( if he was released then fair enough!)

How was the pen not a sending off. Gumbs is a couple of yards from goal, about to shoot and some galout takes his legs from under him.

Obvious foul hence the award of the pen and denying a goalscoring opportunity. How much more of a sending off could it have been. Then again this from the same ref that gave a backpass when the ball quite clearly came off the defenders thigh.

Gumbs had no injury that I know of but then again I didn't go into the dressing room at half time. For what ever reason he came off why not put Jake upfront?

As for leaving him on when obviously injured, he said it was just a knock and that he could run if off. I t wasn't until he was hit again that he had to come off.

I don't think he'd of scored it. He wasn't the last man was he?

Has Jake ever played upfront at this level before? I've not seen him play there. Granted we didn't have many choices which makes the Gumbs situation even more bizzare!!

I don't think you can get anymore last man than that. Anyway it hasn't got anything to do with being the last man as detailed i Law 12:-

A player, substitute or substituted player is sent off and shown the red card if he commits any of the following seven offences:

5. denies an obvious goal-scoring opportunity to an opponent moving towards the player

whether he should have been sent off or not makes has no bearing on how WINDSOR played! the number of aylesbury players does not and should not influence how windsor players play. our players job is to score more than the opposition by beating what is in front of them. windsor were abysmal yesterday and deserved to lose. end of

A good debate isn't it...

The point on whether there should have been a red card or not is now irrelevant, it won't be changed. Even if it was a red card could that Windsor team have played well enough to win?

I think we need to establish the solutions for the next game. I'm sure Mal can inform us on the injuries. Will the injured players be available for the Poulton game or the harder trip away to Didcot?

As for Seeds I don

Hovis, it is about form. As I said previously, Chenns went through the same at the back end of last season and he too can play football.

As for the injuries we will know more after training tomorrow.

Well as I'm sure everyone is looking to the next game we sould all be looking with a posotive attitude. I'm hoping the injury plauge that has hit the Meadow is through and form can be found! Lets use the Paulton game has the stepping stone of good football we need to take on the Didcot away trip!

Come on the Royalists!!!

I wasn't at the game on Sunday so can't comment on that but its beginning to sound like the Simon Lane era all over again i.e "we've got injuries blah blah blah......the ref cost us the game blah blah blah". All we need now is for somebody to blame the pitch and we're have the fall set!

Funny you should say that, Mrs C.

I was thinking that to myself yesterday afternoon.

He brought in some real quality ( and some real dross too) most people think all he needed was a good number 2 ( Add your own joke here)

However i still have faith in Scotty and Jim to turn things around starting from saturday! No doubt about it they will get the players motivated and improve their fitness.
