Gravesends Welsh International

I wonder if anyone could help me with this.

 

I am researching the history of Welsh football from its humble beginnings to our present status as one of the giants on the world stage.

 

A player called George Richards played for Gravesend from 1899-1901 and we have no info regarding his time there.Is there a club historian who could help us fill in the blanks?

we just cant work out why george moved down to gravesend for two years. work i suppose?

The Southern League. (They won the Kent Senior Cup in 1900 by the way - maybe your man played in the final? You might want to see if a local paper has a photo of the team in their archives)
