Too Many 'Stickies'

Are the Moderators (or is it Moderator)creating too many 'sticky' posts. When I click on the site I want to see what's currently being posted, but now have to scroll down - whilst at the top of the board are many 'worthy' posts, but not posts that are really 'active'.

Isn't it perhaps time to have a MISA sub-forum where these 'worthy' posts can be dispayed, with a 'sticky' post showing the latest headlines therein?

Funny banter, but it's a fair comment. I totally agree with the thread title and sb's suggestions.

I access the forum on a small screen. It takes so long scrolling through the stickies that often I can't be bothered and probably miss interesting posts or topics.

I'm not sure what the solution is, as as at today there are loads of the buggers.

Misa are trying to help the club so they have things which are made sticky, if they were put in there own forum it wouldn't get the amount of views it would do on here.

I for one wouldn't look in the Misa forum, same as I dont look at the Misa web page, but no doubt one day they will organise something that I would like to go to, if its a sticky on here I would find out about it, if its not I wont

When I log on I can see which topics have unread posts, and when I open a topic I see the first unread post. Is that the same for everybody?

If so, how about one sticky topic (eg 'MISA news and events') with all the latest events posted on it. Then you could open it when it shows unread posts and go straight to the latest news, rather than have loads of sticky threads cluttering up the forum.

I bet more people would look at that than can be bothered to open all the stickies we have at the moment.

Can see what you are saying lads n lasses (if any). However it is not just MISA items I stick, I get quite a few PM's from other posters to stick an item (maybe only for a few days for some), so it brings the item to posters notice. Indeed I unstuck several today (just coincidence, nothing to do with this thread).

I will endeavour to unstick them once an event is past from MISA too.
