Brazil stay At the Nayland Rock and to train in Margates Hartsdown park?

When a kid i used to go and watch Germany train at the recreation ground in Ashbourne, Derbyshire. They stayed at the Peveril of the peak hotel at Thorpe in Dovedale. So why not Brazil in Margate. Close to an airport, andy for a quick get away.

In the current economic climate,i cannot realistically see this proceeding.

No-one's fault-just fact.

Club, funders, constructors will all be struggling ;and terms will have changed considerably in last 6 months .

I think we need to give the club 'some slack' here.

(although i agree some form of statement is now due )

Are the people in charge who have 'let the club and town down 'as you state-the same people who brought football back to HDP after 3 years in exile at Ashford and Dover, and have kept putting money into the club to keep it going on the playing front ?

I am very grateful to them.

I think anyone needs to be wary of criticising unless one can put significant money up oneself to do better. (i.e seven figure investment )

Unfortunately, by the time the economy has made the ground (i think stadium is a bit exaggerated ) feasible again, i suspect the planning consent will have gone beyond its 5 year term.

Maybe ,just maybe there is some scope to 'go for it'-one bit at a time-maybe a way can be found to proceed with the coffin end,so at least there is a ground with cover on 3 sides.

Then when that is done, start thinking about the 4th side.

I don't recall Gary Lever being involved then SSS, and putting money into the club until MFC moved back to HDP.(or indeed Malcolm Rowlett at that time).

I am sure those who were involved wished they did a few things different-like all of us at times maybe.

I simply feel that it is harsh to criticise those who effectively are keeping the club going-for better or for worse-unless i am in a financial position to do better. And frankly i am not.

Maybe others are and can thus buy the right to do things differently.

Who specifically would take over the day to day operation and funding if GL,KP ,CP all withdrew support tomorrow?.Bank would immediately pull the plug, so i remain grateful to those who are keeping the club afloat. (notwithstanding those who also help by giving their services voluntarily )

As far as i am aware, there is no-one waiting in the wings to offer an alternative to our current Board, so they win my support.

Like everyone, i would love to see some new build going on, but is that realistic in todays economic conditions
