YELLOW
There are risks that are not particularly costly and there are others that totally f..k you up. Knowing my luck I would be the b...d who would end up dead! I've taken risks but not ones that could potentially threaten my life! At the end of the day if you want to take drugs as long as you know what you are doing then that's OK. I would rather avoid taking this risk though, sorry but this is how I feel. Tall n Cool
Very mature YA, my philosophy kinda goes like this: Play football, play the fool, play music loud late at night, play around on the Saints message board... BUT don't play with your life, otherwise you can't do the other stuff nearly so well!!
YELLOW
Exactly! I get my enjoyment out of drinking, larking around with mates, watching football and listening to Oasis really loudly. I don't need drugs to enjoy myself. Maybe people think that's boring, well tough! At least I'm still alive!
Tall n Cool
Vodka jelly however is an evil that shouldn't be consumed too often - 2 days running is NOT recommended!!!

GHA EFM
One could say why play the music so loudly, YA2003? Do you get more enjoyment from the loudness? It's like the hundreds and thousands on top of your 99...jumpers for goalposts once again...Folk Devils and Moral Panics...Deviancy Amplification...boredom...don't hear the music, listen to the music... EFM The Firm, The Voice
People die from ignorance when it comes to drugs! Leah Betts, the most famous "victim" of this terrible media unfreindly drug E died from not knowing how to control it. Only 150 people have died in 15 years from the effects of E, In this time hundreads of thousands have died from Alcohol and even more through smoking. Over 500,000 people use it in the UK at the weekend, like someone said you have more chance of dying choking on a dill leaf (you can of course have a allergic reaction to anything) As of yet after years of research scientists have yet to actually find any long term effects of use of thre drug, the only short term effect is the "come down" which is no worse than a hangover! The media have managed to make this drug look like a instant killer, but in fact cocaine is much much likely to kill you, why isn't this reported by them, because they are all at it! If you go to a club where everyone is pilling, there is no violence, no attitude, it's a wonderful feeling to see everybody old and young, male and female, black and white, ugly and pretty getting on and chatting. If everybody took E there would be NO town centre violence on a Fri/sat night. I would dearly love a goverment to do a proper debate on drugs and change the laws that are frankly years out of date! How do I know all this ..... work it out <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Claire!
You know, people who havn't had the chance to "try" drugs ect, automatically assume that they are dangerous. Of course i'm not saying go out, do them, etc, but look at it like this. Wackey Backey, is so much safer than alcohol. If people say to me that canabis is more dangerous than alcohol, well they are just shutting their eyes and ears to the truth. Alcohol makes people paranoid, and violent and basically, more people do die or get illnesses from it. Canabis on the other hand calms the user, and gives them a feeling like no other. If people who tend to not know the facts about this say no, drugs are much worse, yet go out and get slaughtered and then end up shouting, hitting or getting agressive towards someone else, well, what a contradicting society we live in. I've never done E or pills myself, but i have many close friends that have and still do and they arn't addicted, they aren't drug addicts and they are good people. EFM The Firm, The Voice
Well said Claire - I'm fed up with the ignorance of the anti-drugs brigade, who won't even listen to the onther side of the argument wether they want to try it or not!

Colin Zeal EFM
A member of my wife's immediate family is a drug addict, Claire. You name it, he's tried it. And it's screwing him up big-time. And no doubt you or The Voice will have some smart-[****!!****] answer back, but his journey to hell started out by having a few joints and popping the odd pill. EFM The Firm, The Voice
Some drugs are addictive (as is tobacco and alcohol), best to steer clear of addictive drugs! Nobody has been ever addicted to ectsacy. The journey to hell may of included joints and pills on the way, but you can bet your bottom dollar it started from fags and alcohol originally. Thats a very lame argument CZ!
Colin Zeal EFM
I wasn't actually making an argument, Thornsy. Indeed, if you or anyone else wants to take ecstacy, it doesn't annoy me at all, although it does concern me occasionally, but that's because you're a mate, more than anything else really. I was just putting across one of the many reasons why I personally am not into drugs. I've dabbled myself with one or two things, but it just doesn't interest me. Fair enough Zeal, thats unlucky, but although i can't change your opinion, likewise, you won't be able to change mine. Just one more thing though, alcohol is also very addictive, and when you go out and you have to drink it, well, you've hit the bottom of the pit there too. You may say, well i don't need to drink to have a good time, but when you drink because it's there, well, there you go. Alcohol is more dangerous, in my opinion. Chubbhead EFM
Zeal, my Grandad had a 'journey to hell' caused by fags which gave him cancer, my boss's grandad died of alcoholism and yet people consume them ten to a dozen everyday! What about the thousands of people who become alcoholics/ die of alcoholisim every year and cigarette addicts. Yes, drugs can be addictive and dangerous (,I think E is addictive more in a psychological sense then a phyiscal sense), but as with most things it depends on the personality of the person using them and how/ why they use them. Someone who gets addicted to, let's just say Cocaine, probably has an addictive personality and if it wasn't coke it's be something else- alcohol, fags, gambling, whatever. Similarily, if their using it to block out a painfull memory then they're more likely to fall into the addiction trap. Like I said before, you can use drugs and you can abuse them- you've just got to know when to stop.
