Was the final result at the Hive tonight. We did how ever conceed our first goal in 6 hours much to the disgust of Gaffer Colin Cook. "It's simply not good enough" he screamed "we need to stop the goals completely and for that reason the keeper is to be fined for not stopping it going in.

"It's as simple as that!" he moaned.

 

Gary Mo back from shooting his lastest Bruce Willis stunt scenes added, how are we going to survive in this league if we let goals in on a regular basis like this one. Bruce, Sorry, Gary went on to say he would also fine the Gaffer for not employing the rush goalie idea they planned for the last 10 minutes.

Thank you for the kind comments, it's much appreciated. Though we know we won't be in the mix come the season's end, it's nice to get such a good start, it's something we can build on at long last.

 

I would be interested to see a Clapton viewpoint of the spitting at opponents certain members of the team indulged in throughout the game, as well as the keeper's impression of Toni Schumacher on Battiston, something that put Craig Gillam in hospital. The fact that the referee had blown up some time before that, and the ball was way past him, made the challenge even more objectionable.

But not everything you know, I'll wager. wink He's a top, top fella, and has been one of the main reason why Basildon have had such a decent start. Gary Hickey at the back has been superb too.
