Dover Athletic Highlights

I see that this has actually gone live today.

Despite having what i read was otherwise a great game, it does look like Dan Young lost his man for their goal- unfortunate momentary lapse of concentration-or as Welford was a sub-was it clearly organised who would be marking him.

Just the same-there were 5 Dover players and 3 Margate players in our penalty area-how is that being allowed to happpen ?

Had our midfield tired by then.

If the ball had gone past Welford-Dover had spare men at the back post aswell.

It seems that BA/PS have some work to do on back post defending-i think we have conceded from headers at back post in 3 games-and on this video-i see that Dover went close on at least one occasion with a back post free header.

With regards to the penalty incident, it looks to me that the goalkeeper handballed the ball outside the penalty area-so free kick(possible sending off ) but NOT a penalty. It looks to me that he touched the ball then accidentally knocked Peters.

So for me-a free kick to Margate (possible sending off as was the last man )-but correctly-no penalty.

Have seen them given though-but in fairness, i had to look at video 4 times and ref gets a second to make a decision.

Hoefully this wekend, we will get a crucial decision in our favour.

The key is though to win a game on your own merit and well enough so you do not rely on refs decisions
